Frequently asked questions

About free practice, scoring, VIP plans and the PTE exam itself. For task-by-task advice, see the PTE guides.

Practising on PTE Practice

Yes. Reading, Writing and Listening practice is unlimited, and you get 5 scored speaking answers a day, with no card needed. Sign in for 1 free mock test a day.

Scoring

No. PTE Practice is independent and is not Pearson's engine. Reading and Listening are marked against the published rules; Speaking and Writing are a calibrated emulation on the 10–90 scale. Treat any score as an estimate and watch your trend.

The PTE exam

About 2 hours in total. Speaking and Writing together take 76–84 minutes, Reading 23–30 minutes and Listening 31–39 minutes.

Preparing

It depends on your level and your target. Close to your target, a focused two weeks can be enough; further away, plan for a month or more of daily practice.

PTE Practice is an independent practice platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Pearson. Our scores are a calibrated emulation, not official PTE scores. Questions? Email support@inverseai.com.
